How to Give Someone a Role on your Facebook Page

When hiring a social media manager, they will need to gain access for your account, so they can… well… manage your social media. Here are some quick steps on how to give your social media manager a role on your business page. I’ve outlined how to do this on Desktop, Android, and iPhone.

For Desktop:

  1. Click Settings at the top right of your page.
  2. Click Page Roles in the left column.
  3. Type a name or an email into the box and you can select the name that appears.
  4. Click Editor to see all of the roles, then select the role you want to give the person.
  5. Click Add and enter your password to confirm

You must be friends with someone to give them a role on your page.

For Android and iPhone Mobile:

  1. Go to your page and tap … on the top right. (For iPhone, it’s a single .)
  2. Tap Edit>Page Roles
  3. Tap Add Person to Page. You will have to type your password to continue
  4. Type a name and tap it from the list that appears
  5. Tap to choose a role and then tap Add.

You must be friends with someone to give them a role on your page.
